A Day in Dublin: Our Top Five Sights in the City

While Kinsale is on the southern coast of Ireland, an easy train trip can take you into Dublin for a day of sightseeing or shopping, then an easy return trip back to Cork and the short drive back to Kinsale will complete your day. Alternately, Dublin may be the place from where you enter or exit the country. If coming up from Cork and wanting to stay late into the evening, we recommend an overnight at the Ashling hotel which is right by the train station. We find it useful to come in by train

Come to Kinsale Off-Season

Why would anyone want to travel in Ireland off-season? It's rainy cold and wet, Right? As is true in much of the northern hemisphere travel from October to April can take you into sporadically colder weather, however for the seasoned traveler who appreciates being able to really see and understand a country there is nothing to compare to traveling off-season. The tourist rakes in the benefits: less cost on accommodation and food, one-on-one help in shops and restaurants

Ireland is our adopted home, and as many expats before us, we have come to love its history interwoven with the sheer beauty of the land as much, if not more, than those who were lucky enough to be born here. We reinvented our lives more than five years ago now, and we still delight in the short day trip out of Kinsale where we love to visit other historic views of Ireland.

Must See Places in Ireland: Clonakilty

Five and a half years ago we reinvented our lives by moving to Ireland from United States. We reinvented our lives more than five years ago now, and we still delight in the short day trip out of Kinsale where we love to visit other historic views of Ireland.

Must See Places in Ireland: Cork City

We reinvented our life by moving to Ireland over five years ago. While we strategically plopped ourselves in the small charming town of Kinsale, we could not live here if we did not have the urban environment of Cork city so close by. There are many things to see and do with Cork city and it is worth at least a day trip for any traveler staying in Kinsale. Must See Places in Ireland: Kinsale

It's been over five years ago now that we reinvented our life by moving from Colorado in the United States to Kinsale,Co. Cork Ireland. While it's not easy to relocate halfway around the world, we believe it was the best possible thing we could have done for our lives. Like many ex-pats we are perhaps more in love with our adopted home than people would be who have grown up here. Ireland is full of historic sites, and Kinsale has several of them. While there are many places to go in Ireland, we believe Kinsale to have so many charming nuances that everyone should stay here, at least a few days.
